Hello and thank you for visiting our site.  Firstly, my name is Doug and I am putting this site together to encourage disabled travellers to visit Australia and to assist them to enjoy their trip.  Over the years I have travelled most of this vast land and enjoyed the many beautiful experiences it has in store for the traveller who seeks an experience beyond what the cities have to offer, however may not be as nimble as he or she once was.  Although I am not disabled myself, my mother is eighty four years old and has suffered from Parkinson’s disease and the other complications that go with that after many years.  Having seen first hand the frustrations experienced by someone who is disabled I decided to research what was available throughout Australia and compile this site.  I hope you find the information interesting and most of all helpful in planning your trip.
